
Dr. James L. Igleburger, MD is a board-certified general adult psychiatrist. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Biology from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina in 1993 followed by a Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) also in Charleston, SC in 1997. He completed his medical internship and psychiatry residency training at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM)in 2001. Residency was based in Northeastern Ohio at Akron General Medical Center, Akron City Hospital, and St. Thomas Medical Center (the founding place of Alcoholics Anonymous) where he studied under graduates of the Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins Medical Center. Dr. I. received a balanced education emphasizing the importance of both biology and psychology in managing diseases of the mind. After residency, Dr. Igleburger worked in Paducah, KY as the Medical Director of a Community Mental Health Center practicing traditional inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. This is where he developed an interest in Clinical Research Trials. Dr. I. served as the Principle Investigator or Sub-Investigator on numerous clinical research trials before he left Kentucky for Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 2006. Dr. I has been practicing in the local area ever since. He has had a private practice and worked with the Bridgeway Center. He continued to participate in Clinical Research and developed his skills in mapping patients for TMS therapy while working with the Anchor Clinic in Navarre. Dr. Igleburger prides himself on being on the cutting-edge of medical science. He opened IglePsych in 2023 with the plan to offer patients alternatives to traditional psychiatric medication management like Ketamine therapy, Weight Loss / GLP-1 treatment, and Medical Marijuana. He lives in FWB with his wife of 30 years and their 3 boys.
